Cash Flow ProjectionA cash flow projection is an itemized forecast of a company's income and expenses expected for some period in the future. Business budgeting is not the same as business bookkeeping. Keeping your books, paying your bills, invoicing your customers or clients and reconciling your accounts is the minimal necessity of your business bookkeeping. Having a more accurate financial picture of your business is essential. This comes in the form of utilizing accounting software such as QuickBooks, Peachtree or Microsoft Small Business Accounting to keep track of your income and expenses and by creating financial reports so that you can view your inflows and outflows. The last essential ingredient that is neglected is your business budget. This important document will give you your overall expected costs each week, month and year. You need to be able to know how much money you will need to collect by next Friday to cover payroll. Your bookkeeping records have shown you what you have spent, but you still need to know what you spend and earn on a regular basis! Below is a business budget form for you to use.
